This is a great film with a brilliant central performance from Sally Hawkins as Poppy. Okay, there are a couple of times when her character is a bit annoying but these times are put into perspective when she takes control with Scott and the fact that she cares about everyone and wants them to be happy. Lots of very funny moments around the driving/dancing lessons and family get-togethers although the scene with the tramp should have been cut out of the final edit. It's a shame that Poppy can't redeem Scott (Eddie Marsan) but this being a Mike Leigh film I guess we couldn't have a totally happy ending. Makes me want to visit London!
